Okay, sometimes it does...

What started out as an innocent drawing of Firelord Zuko quickly devolved into a joke so stupid that even a FUNNY artist would have trouble salvaging it.

In looking at the reference picture, I thought, "Wow, those are big shoulderpad thingies he has there...spiky, too...." And thus, this thing was dumped in my brain. It also had a lot to do with me changing Zuko's smile to his awkward-mode mouth. And before you know it...yeah. Cuddletiemz is hard when one's significant other is covered in spiky things.


Actually, I think this piece's main weakness is the fact that the rip isn't stressed enough...though I think the caption makes it somewhat amusing. It made me smile, at least, because it looks almost like a birthday card or something.

This follows in the style of my last two deviations...it even shares almost the same proportions. I'm going with what works...digital art (MS Paint), cel-shading (MS Paint), and winging it for the design. Harr harr.

....actually, on editing a bit while posting the comment, I touched up Mai's mouth and...it's actually funnier. Heh. Still dumb. But low, tiny mouths > high, wide mouths.
