So, thanks to a surprisingly enthusiastic response to the proposal in my previous journal, I think the project can work!

In following with the fandom week-long topical themes, I figured that it would help add some diversity to a number of galleries if there was a different character assigned for every day--my gallery, for example, seems to be mostly Mai, and I'm guessing that a few of my watchers would like some diversity. With some good advice from and inspiration and suggestions from a number of other fans, I worked out this list:

It's a long time. Five weeks is an IMMENSE commitment, and so I don't expect anyone to actually make it all the way. I doubt that I will...

For the days with the character name, the goal is to use that character in a picture, fanfiction, video, or anything fan-related. It doesn't matter what they're doing, really, or what happens--the goal is basically the same as every other prompt during the weeks.

The specifics for the unnamed character categories are:

One-Shots: Draw a character who appeared in only one episode of the season (they are allowed to have returned; you can draw Teo, for example), from that respective season (e.g., you might draw Meng, Huu, and On Ji).
Water/Earth/Fire/Air: Because there are so many minor characters people love, this is a chance to draw your favorites--during Water day, you might draw Hama, or Kaya, or Pakku, or Hahn; Earth may have Xin Fu, the Earth King, the Boulder, Long Feng, or Haru; Fire includes Sozin, Mongke, Fire Nation grunts, or anyone else Fire Nation; Air will probably be the most limited, but if you don't want to draw Gyatso, you could always shoot for Teo.
Freedom Fighter: Hey, they need some love. And I'm sure would love it. Smellerbee, Longshot, Pipsqueak, the Duke, or Sneers.
White Lotus: They came. They saw. They kicked butt. White Lotus outfit optional!
Avatar Day: Draw your favorite Avatar! Or any Avatar. Roku, Kyoshi, Kuruk, or Yangchen.
Animal: Mooselions and tigerdillos and bears, oh my! ...it doesn't have the same rhythm.
One of the Family: There are plenty of relatives in the show; Iroh's got Lu Ten, Mai's got her uncle and brother and parents, Toph's got her parents, Sokka's got Gran-Gran, Yue has her mom and Arnook, and Yon-Rha even has his angry mommy. Draw someone related to another character!
Ember Island Player: Draw one of the actors from the Ember Island Players, or get creative and draw your favorite character as they would be portrayed in the show!

Note: Try to avoid "serious" shipping. If you want to crackship Toph and the Cabbage Merchant because they're back-to-back, feel free, but don't push it; if the opportunity comes about, take it if you want, but shipping really isn't the point here. Of course, these aren't rules, they're prompts, so if you want to do Bumi for Earth and the White Lotus, you can, but you're encouraged to seek variety--if you draw Bumi for the White Lotus, try drawing Joo Dee for Earth! Who isn't in your gallery? Who have you always had the nagging itch to draw? Draw them!

You may want to start in advance, too. You can always save the piece on your computer for later...and I don't think anyone expects anyone else to fulfill every day's requirements.

If you want to just submit all the characters in one picture every week, feel free to do so. I'm just prompting and hoping that people participate. It's not being judged or anything. The goal is basically to see different characters in the different styles of the Avatar fandom.

Did I do a good job of explaining? I'm not usually involved in these sorts of things, so I'm unsure.
