Sozin's Comet Poster

I KNOW, I KNOW, I'M A HORRIBLE PERSON!!! I am completely ashamed of myself, for now, I have used the SAME LINEART for a deviation not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES!!! Four, if you count the joking one, but...the point is...yeah. I should be shot.

But I was able to SPEND TIME ON THE BACKGROUND OF THIS ONE!!!

And it was just a rushed job for a contest...which Nick is not even letting me ENTER, for inexplicable reasons that make me want to temper-tantrum!!!

But I had fun with the background of this one...a good chunk of it was completely reffed, but I added some creative touches here and there. I wanted to have the comet coming TOWARD Aang, initially, but I couldn't figure out how to do it without making it look like it was sprouting from Aang's head.

The borders were a last-minute-add, but I'm really happy...I also considered putting Aang and Ozai's faces in the clouds, but I couldn't pull that one off. A better artist might be able to do that, but not me. So...it's just clouds being split by the comet.

You really can't see him, but Phoenix King Ozai is something I'm really happy with in this pic.

Among other details that I want to work on are Aang's feet (need shadows in the water) and some touch-ups all around. But I don't think I'll have any more time to edit before the contest submission deadline hits, so...yeah. As Mai might say, "whatever."

It's all about the background with this one, really, in comparison to the other two images.
