Because I don't draw this girl enough. And I just decided to try breaking this art slump I've been having. And I think it worked.
For all of her one appearance in this season, Ty Lee dominated. Her relationship with Zuko has definitely been my favorite one of anyone--even Aang, Mai, Iroh, Katara, Toph, Sokka, Ozai, and Azula's interactions with him don't feel quite the same...Ty Lee's not a romantic interest with Zuko, there's no tension or divine wisdom or anything of that nature with those two. She's just...a friend. The same goes for her relationship with Mai. They're friends.
Then there's her relationship with Azula. Which is totally BFFs forever. I hope. Kinda. I really want to see how Ty Lee works with Azula's future, and, thanks to , I'm also curious as to how she'll react at the point of Mai's inevitable betrayal of Azula. Because the Beach showed that Ty Lee seems to be a little closer to Azula than Mai now, and it would stress whatever costs come with Zuko's switching sides. Mai's almost a guaranteed swap, but Ty Lee is more or less the glue between the four childhood friends (as the interaction in 305 showed, and was illustrated by the picture at the end). Hopefully, she'll have more of a role to play in the future. Because Ty Lee kind of rules without even trying.
Is that all of the rambling I need to do?
Oh. The look she's giving Azula after Azula talks about her bad relationship with Ursa is one of the best expressions in the show. Period.
Oh, and she still needs to have a run-in with Azula's fuddy-duddy uncle.
Forgive the fact that the lines are too thick and it's all-around rough and ragged and the colors don't look that good, it was a quickie. I have Latin to do.
Ty Lee belongs to Viacom and Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Pic is mine.
Yeah, I think that Ty Lee has gone about an appropriate amount of character development this season (forgive me that I can't comment on everything; I'm still hiding from spoilers). I think this is well done! ^ ^ the shading is great..not that I, of all people, am one to criticize others.

It's over now...but the love the fandom has for this show will never end. We'll keep reliving it. (: ~ The Words of an Avatar'd --- Former ban appealed: I'm thirteen now. Yay for me.
Agreed: for her one episode, Ty Lee gained a LOT of depth. It'll be interesting to see how Mai and Ty Lee's characters play out.
I can totally see them volunteering to hold off a horde of bad guys while the gang goes to fight Ozai. They'll say something incredible, epic and wonderfully cheesy("Doesn't seem like a fair fight, does it Mai?" "You're right. We should tie our hands behind our backs.") and proceed to pwn. And it will be beautiful.
This may sound weird, but I really really like how her right hand and arm came out. (Well, her right, my left.) The lighting in this is very cool. What program do you use? I've always wondered, but never asked.
Shoot, now I want to draw her.

Yeah, that was heavy-reference for her right side. I use Microsoft Paint. Hand-drawn, scan it in, use a very, very simple program called IrfanView to get it down to black and white, and then go from there with MS Paint.
Well, you were part of the reason why I wanted to draw her!!!
And about Mai and Ty Lee, well....I dunno. They were good together in Season Two, but that was mainly, well....cameo interaction. The Beach did a fairly good job of separating them into two new groups--Azula and Ty Lee vs. Mai and Zuko. Which, incidentally, would make one HECK of a fight. Unlikely, but....you never know. Mai's going to fight Azula, and Zuko's probably going to fight Azula...so, where's Ty Lee going to be? Maybe trying to keep Mai from fighting Azula.
Either way, Mike said that this season would be a lot more about Mai and Ty Lee. They've done pretty well so far, but I'm guessing that there will be a larger jump in their characters. Because they're about all of the good that's in the Fire Nation for Zuko.
Zuko, Iroh, Ursa, Mai, and Ty Lee. The "good guys" of the Fire Nation. And Ming. Ming's nice, too. She's Serena Williams. And Serena Williams isn't evil.
Oh. Roku. Roku, too. ^_^
Li and Lo....um....they seem more likely to just sit back and watch Aang kick Ozai's butt. Or vice-versa. I don't think they'll care, really. "You should have seen it when Roku kicked Sozin's butt, hehehee! Took us two days to get that young rapscallion down!"
