So, earlier today, my brother sent me a link to the song on YouTube, "I Want To Save You" by Something Corporate, in the hopes that I might be able to make a good shipping vid out of it (he's not a big shipper himself). However, in listening to it (over and over and over again), I knew that I needed Mai and Zuko to meet and Sokka to go rescue Suki. Having none of those clips on hand, I did the next best thing--drew up a quick picture of Sokka and Suki.

I think it turned out pretty well.

Suki's expression was based off of a shot of Rukia from Bleach, Sokka's was reffed off of a shot of him.

I'll be making a music video whenever I can. Probably not for two months, then.

Hopefully, he'll go to save her....and succeed....

Colors taken from caps on ASN.

The pic is mine, but the characters belong to Mike, Bryan, Viacom, and Avatar: the Last Airbender.

No, I haven't seen the episode yet either, but I really really like this piece. Their expressions are wonderful.

The moon really adds some awesome symbolism, to boot: Sokka still firmly believes that he failed to protect Yue.... he certainly isn't going to let another woman he loves die, not so long as he has the power to do something about it.

The moon is an ever-present symbol for Sukka, and Sokka.

It all stems from a drive for perfection...^^; I watch a lot of entertainment, I look, I learn, and my grades and social life suffer as a result, but hey, I can draw and write...music vids are actually the easiest thing. It's all in studying styles, I guess. I wish I could apply this to other areas, but, alas...there's no specific style to reality. XD

I'm perfectly fine with it, though.
