Because the girl is so getting a promotion. Help Iroh, and you go far. Done because Serena Williams was on Conan O'Brien last night for winning the U.S. Open and the Olympics, and I decided to do a tribute to her. Plus, Ming needs some love. Lame background and shading job, yeah, I know, but...just don't be too critical. And I'm not sure if that's a captain's uniform, but it's an officer's uniform, so it's a higher rank than she was. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Provided she wasn't executed for being away from her post when Iroh busted out...there must have been questions about that.
But they don't seem too uppity on the whole "execute" thing in the Fire Nation. And she probably actually escaped the main punishment, because the entire crew who was on-duty probably wound up in the dungeon themselves. Letting the Fire Lord's traitor brother escape while Zuko runs off, too, is probably the worst thing you can do.

I wonder how she- and all of the other prison guards, for that matter- would adjust to the new system? I mean, yeah, she obviously has a deep respect of Iroh, but still... (Fic fodder, perhaps?
