LOOK!!! LOOK!!! IT'S APPA!!! I DREW APPA!!!!!!!!

I made a digi-doodle of Mai, and I really liked the face, so I decided to expand on it...it took me about an hour (I kid you not!) to decide what she would be doing and what/whom she would be looking at. Eventually, I decided to draw Appa.

I initially drew Momo and Zuko as well, but then I decided that Zuko looked kind of crummy and Momo was distracting, so I got rid of them before I colored. And so, it's just Appa.

With a tree in his mouth.

Mai is unflappable, but she might be a bit uncomfortable--for one thing, a giant fluffy monster appears to be hitting on her, and for another thing, Appa is the only character in the ENTIRE SHOW to single-handedly best Mai (Katara almost did, but...).

And he did it twice.

And finally, he has made it into my gallery. Hats off to you, bison-buddy!

Best part is that Mai was almost all freehand and I only used references for Appa to make sure that I was doing it right. Yay!
